  • Detailed instructions for all tasks that users may be required to perform in order to ensure the smooth running of the SIMS modules we support, as well as the electronic data exchanges between schools and the Children and Young People’s Service or the statutory returns for the Department for Education and Skills.

    MIS Team Website

  • Access to the Capita Support website for searching the Solutions Database.

  • Disaster Recovery/Data Restoration - In the event of fire, theft, flood or other event beyond the schools’ control, the MIS team will provide on-site support to re-install the SIMS application, including restoring the schools’ own data where the school can provide an appropriate backup (see Schools’ Responsibilities)

  • Remote access visits to servers to restore the Business to Business automated file transfer if this fails.

  • Advice on the use of Internet and e-mail applications used for electronic data exchange between schools and DfES, Children and Young People’s Directorate, QCA and others, when used in conjunction with SIMS modules.
