We offer schools the following services covering insurance issues: please click on the hyper-links or the menu on the left for further details on each policy.

A Sickness Insurance Scheme is available, each financial year, to Sheffield Primary, Nursery and Special schools, but not to Secondary schools. We deal with all claims for this insurance as well as all related administration matters. The scheme is non-profit making, with only a small proportion of the costs being taken for administration, with any surpluses being ploughed back into the scheme.

Note: A consultation with schools on the existing policy is proposed during 2008/09 as we will then have a full three year's figures of costs and benefits for each insured category.

School Trip Insurance is available to all Sheffield schools and, also known as 'Off-Site Activities Insurance', is run on an academic year (1st September - 31st August) basis. We are responsible for the administration of this scheme, with any policy and claim queries being handled by another department - see below for details:

The administration of the scheme is run by leaf Financial Services and you can contact Andy Bramall on (0114) 2736270 or andrew.bramall@sheffield.gov.uk.

Note: existing schools will receive a renewal invitation and non-insured schools will receive an application letter during the month of September.

Please be assurred that cover would commence from 1st September in both cases should a school decide to insure for the next academic year.
